Hi all!

Was hoping to get a thread going for applicants to the Stony Brook FNP program for 2018. I submitted my application a week or two ago and got an email for an interview on Monday. Anyone else??

My interview is scheduled for Tuesday 12/12 at 11:15 am. I know there is a group component - anyone else going in for this slot??

Hoping to meet you all in the spring!

Summer 2018, I applied for the ANP program at Stoney Brook, had the group interview and now I am still waiting to hear! The director said towards the end of Feb./begining of MArch, maybe it's the same for FNP?

Hello All,

I also interviewed for the FNP program in November. Still waiting for an acceptance / rejection email. All I know is, orientation is scheduled for April 16. I think the best thing to do is just request that day off in advance because nothing is worse than trying to get a day off once you've already been scheduled. Guess we just have to keep being patient and hopeful .

Good luck everyone !

Glad someone made this thread! I'm in the same boat. Crossing my fingers to hear something soon!

Is this the same Khadijah that works at CHONY ED?

Yes this is she haha !

Hey! This is CiCi. I'm so excited you're applying too! Hoping we both get in!!

Aww !! Yes that would be so perfect !! This wait is excruciating !

Just a question that I have been thinking about lately since decisions should be rolling in soon...how do you guys feel about stepping away from the RN schedule you have now? Working three days a week and all

Well, I know a few nurses that continued to work FT while pursuing NP. I know one that l even did an onsite program and worked FT. But yes some people do go PT. A lot of people can't afford to go PT/ Per Diem though.

Oh yeah for sure. But I meant when you are an FNP haha. I'm hoping there are 12hr shifts for FNPs out there

Ohhh okay. It depends on the setting you're in but I'm sure there's places with 12hr... especially if you're planning to work in the hospital.

Hi everyone!!!

Still waiting here too... the wait is killer!
