I've been an LPN for a year, now. Welcome to the boards. This is a very therapeutic place, even with some of the arguments that go on every now and then. You will learn that there are many that feel the same way you do, and you can also learn from someone else's mistakes before you make them yourself.
Be sure to stop in allnurses' LPN/LVN corner and Student Nursing forums! Welcome to a great place!!
Just a bit of friendly advice from someone an LPN who graduated from a very difficult school, if you have not found you're study buddies yet, FIND THEM! I would not have graduated with my friends pulling me through during my low points, and I pulled many friends through when they had trouble.

Also, try not to get behind. Cramming does not work well in Nursing School.

Congratulations for being a nurse for one week! Did you start looking for work, yet? Good luck and I wish you the very best.
One thing I also want to add about study groups...if your group does not work out for you or inspire you to do your best, leave it quick fast in a hurry. Personally, I wasn't into them, but many benefit if it is the right crowd. Do not feel guilty if you have to leave negative people behind. Sometimes, you can even really like a person, but they can be toxic to your learning mode. It is YOUR future. Cut off those that do not have the same goal in mind to dedicate themselves.
I am very lucky Pagen.
The local hospital held a day job for me in med-surg until I passed boards.
I could make more in LTC, but I need the skills pratice as I am doing the Excelsior RN thing. I have only been on the floor 2 days. Boy, do I have a lot to learn. I read this observationon another post:
"Nursing School is over. Now the REAL education begins."
I can now say I agree totally!
I also agree with your last post RE study groups. I have had to kick a few people out of mine if they couldn't stay focused and wandered off topic too much.
