Wow - I was beginning to think that the live chat thing was a bomb as no one responded to the thread. Glad to hear at least one student is interested. Come on .... is there anymore interest than this? Lets hear from the students .... I am in the process of getting this set up and would like some feedback from the students on dates and time.

I have been noticing that there is an interest in getting together for an online study buddy kind of chat. Of course, this is exciting as allnurses has a live chat feature that would be great for the students. Anyway, keeping within this line of thought, I want to schedule a weekly hosted student assistance chat.
First - how many would be interested in a weekly live chat?
Second - what would the best time for this chat be? I am thinking around 7:00PM or 8:00PM (EST). It can not be during American Idol .... sorry, but that time slot is reserved. lol
Please post your preference here for the time and I will schedule the live chat.
In addition, please be assured that the live chat will be hosted and there will be people participating.
Of course, we welcome all the nurses that frequent the board to come and participate as well.
If you have an assignment that you need help with, this might be the perfect time to get that help and its live!

Tuesdays will be great for me anytime. Will the chats be on a nursing topic or in general because I know for me I would like to chat "study" with other students who are on tne same subject as I am.

I am glad to see there is a lot of interest in getting together for student chat. I am currently getting ready to make the arrangements with the administrators of the board. The chat will be for students that are interested in studying together and also for those students that would like to chat with Registered Nurses.

I am not sure what day the chat will take place, but it will be after 8PM (EST).

I am glad to have had responses to this and will let you know as soon as it is scheduled. Hopefully we can get the chat listed on the board's marquee so everyone can see it.

After 8PM is GREAT for me. Allows me to get my boys to and from Scouts. Let us know how its coming.

The live student chat has been scheduled for Sunday - 3/6/05 8PM - 10PM EST. There will be two rooms open for this chat. The first room will be general Student Assistance Forum Chat and the second room will be for Homework Help and Discussions with an RN. Both rooms are going to be hosted by me and perhaps other moderators and staff.

I invite you all to join us as it is sure to be fun and hopefully you will gain a lot of information. Please mark your calendars.

We have also scheduled another live chat for March 11, 2005 - 8PM - 10PM.

The plan is to host a live chat weekly for the student assistance forum. Hopefully this will become a popular time and lots of folks will join us.
