Breathe!!! You will pass.
I had terrible test anxiety. I just KNEW I would fail and passed with 85 ?s.
Trust your schooling and yourself.
Some things I did:
1) know your labs and calculations!
2) go over your weak areas. What I read was that you will get random questions on nclex. Pretty soon the computer will pick up on your weak areas and keep testing you over those. I found that to be true. My weakest subject was OB and I got TONS of ?s on that
3) know how to answer SATA— think of them as true/false questions. Do the answers given pertain to the question? Do you have the Saunders book? Online they have a study mode, you can change the settings so that all your ?s are SATA
4) Google "nclex-PN 3000 questions". I believe the website is nclex.dover.com. I did tons of practice questions on there. It helped me so much because the questions are worded just like the ones on the nclex
5) know HOW to answer your questions. Find the focus of the question, and pick out the answer that fits. It really does get easier. Throw out distractor answers. if the question asks which intervention should the nurse do next, pick an answer In which the nurse is DOING something. If you have 2 totally diff options "ex: tachycardia and bradycardia" the answer is probably one of those. My teacher broke down how to answer nclex questions during her lecture one day and it's been a breeze since. Saunders also has a section on how to answer questions, it's awesome
6) read thru every word in every ? And go with your gut! You will find that 9 times out of 10, you're right
7) remember ABCs and patient FIRST. ABGs remember ROME: respiratory opposite, metabolic equal.
8) here is a 35 page review that someone put together. I ran across it one day and it helped me SO much: https://allnurses.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=12187
You can do this!!!! Go in with a positive attitude, say your prayers, and know that you will pass. Do not go in with a spirit of defeat.
If you got thru nursing school, you can get thru the nclex.
Hope this helps :)
