Straighterline is reputable and has been around for several years, and it is an affordable way to earn general education credits. However, to play it safe, I advise people to take any science coursework that requires lab at a local community college or state university to avoid problems with obtaining transfer credit in the future.I have never heard of this company or program called straighterline. I think I would pass on that.
Excelsior accepts Straighterline so that's why I am considering taking it there. Excelsior also accepts all 3 without the lab portion. Granted I may have to retake them at a community college once I become an RN to further my nursing education but $49 per course plus $99 per month membership fee for 3 classes is a heck of alot cheaper than Excelsior and they don't have a lab portion for these classes either. Plus Starighterline is all open book you final exam is proctored using your webcam. It's also at your own pace so if you want to complete the class in a day, week or month it's totally up to you.

It's clear on the Straighterline and EC websites that A&P, micro and select other courses are not accepted for nursing majors

Has anyone recently used straighterline to complete A & P I, II and Micro? I'm thinking about doing it. I've read online where people completed a course in as little as 4 days. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
