I recently heard that there is no more than 10 people on the alternate list. ------------------- told me that traditionally they accept "quite a lot of students from the alternate list" Let's not lose hope yet!

Out of the 61 members so far in the Facebook group, about 40-45 are students that just got accepted. The others are students that are currently in the program that are giving us tips and advice for what to expect. Im sure others that have been accepted just haven't found the Facebook group yet, so don't get your hopes up! I'm sure there are still spots left!

Thanks for the information, reneenayyy. That definitely helps put my mind at ease as all of us on the alternate list eagerly wait for good news from Stony Brook.
I did some digging through past threads, and I have yet to find someone mention getting off the alternate list with more than 2 weeks notice before the program starts. This makes me very nervous, as I have a full-time job that really depends on my position to function. I would feel awful if I had to hand in my resignation letter with not enough time to help hire and train my replacement. Have any of the current Stony Brook students in the Facebook group mentioned people getting off the alternate list with more than 2 weeks notice before the program start date?
Thanks again for checking back and answering some of our questions!
When I called admissions I asked the woman that answered the phone how many people are placed on the alternate list and she told me "I can't imagine that there are more than 10 people on the list." Sooooo I hope she is correct because if thats the case then we have a decent shot!

Im currently in the accelerated program and got in off the wait list. I found out a week before the program started that I was accepted. Right now I know of at least 7 students who got in off the wait list and most found out after march that they got in. I doubt their is 40 people on the wait list because I was told by a professor involved in the interview process that it is not uncommon for them to accept every student off the wait list so 10-15 students seems much more realistic.
Who told you 40 people are placed on the list?

To anyone who is currently in the one year program, starting the one year program, or has graduated from the one year program, can you please share what the schedule is like? I tried emailing someone in the program to find out more about the schedule and she said it is 7 days a week and nights as well. is this true? I have a friend at Pace's one year program and it's only four days a week (two days class, two days clinicals) I would love if someone can share what an actual week schedule looks like (not including studying)
