Good day fellow registered nurses. I am 20 years old. I graduated last march 2009 and passed the local board exam last june 2009. Up to now, I still do not have any working experience because of two main reason. First of course is the obvious answer that it is really hard to look for a job here because of the surplus of nurses in our country. Second, although I really wanted to work, my mother is not allowing me to work because we have a pending application in the Canadian embassy for permanent residency abroad. She was saying that I shouldn't work because I was being petitioned as a dependent child so as being "dependent", i should be studying instead. So to cut the story short, I am now studying MAN..
I already read lots of things regarding the procedure to be a nurse in Canada. But will they still consider my application and be accepted even though I do not have any working experience here in the Philippines after graduation?:confused:P
thanks in advance:)
I really appreciate all your replies. thank u very much. :) @spongebob6286, i am happy to hear that you were able to find a nursing job abroad even without working experience. Are you working in USA or Canada? Did they also require you to pass referral letters from the school you attended/ from hospitals you had trainings with? After my IELTS exam, I'm planning to pass my application to the BON in british columbia for their assessment. Will it be better for me to pass my application here in the Philippines or i'll just pass it when we get there? TIA.
here in the us. my employers didnt ask for any referral letters. they just looked for my bls and rn license card. just keep on praying and never lose hope.
