Hannie, Im so sorry that you are going through this. I know its torture and I also know what you mean when you say your life is on hold because of it. Just know that you have so many nurses who read this and are praying for you! I wish you the best and I pray that you will get your passing result soon. Take care, and you can always email me to vent or talk. My email is the same name that I use here, but @aol.com. Talk to you soon, Kristen :)
thank you very much for your support and praying...that's why i'm always reading some of the encouragement from all of you out there....thanks again...

it's been 11 days since i took the california nclex-rn....no clue if i pass or fail....i feel like a failure...my life is on hold right now...don't know what to do or do nothing at all....i keep checking my name in the website and it seems nothing....sometimes i want to forget the nclex but i can't...help me...i keep praying and hoping to God to give more strength and courage whatever will be the result...this is my third time in taking the exam...i studied so hard i even quit my job so i can fully study...i bought lots of books even its so expensive...i practice so many questions...i even took the mosby assess test to see my probability of passing and failing. and to be honest i did good but why i am feeling this way that i did'nt do enough that i did good in the exam.my family is very supportive of me especially my poor husband...he believes in me so much that sometimes i think he loves me very much to say that.anyway, whoever read this....i just want to vent....co'z it seems my heart will explode in waiting the result. i apologize for this.
Like I said before, many of my fellow classmates waited a long time for results....Stay Positive! The board actually says that it should take 3-4 weeks to get your results, and I believe they have to notify you w/in 30 days.
Good Luck!

California NCLEX-RN released result long than any other state. I know how hard is it to wait. When I am waiting,i got so depressed and i felt like I failed the exam but I realized it will not do any good to me.I just prayed hard eachday and I passed. So,stay positive and continue praying.

-- i think the answer is bed rest cause you dont want to dislodge the thrombi and risk of pulomonary emboli will be high if it dislodged.. Also the Heparin in the question is a distracter so that you will be tempt to answer ambulate. im taking my exam this june 25 in hongkong pray for me..
goodluck binanlaguna! thank you for your answer! so the answer is ambulate right bec if the doctor ordered heparin he wants to avoid the complication of dvt???pls answer me binanlaguna...bec it says in Saunders book page 802 provide ambulation...thanks!
the patient has already DVT and you want to prevent the thrombi to be dislodged so ambulation is contraindicated.

I would think the answer is bedrest because of the fact your patient indeed has DVT. Now if the patient did NOT have DVT then it is to ambulate to avoid DVT...
