STCC Nursing class for Fall 2018

Published

Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone else got into STCC nursing school for fall of 2018. I am starting the thread as I have searched it here multiple times! Hope to hear from some other fellow students for this fall! Excited and nervous

Hi Mliglesias again,

thank you for your response. Can you tell me please about the parking situation, when I was taking the nursing prerequisites I usually would pay for my future classes in July 5 and then apply for parking decal in July 15, and would have it mailed out to me already before August. Is it the same process with nursing students? Thank you!

BB83, I wouldn't necessarily call it "busy work" but it is most definitely a lot of work. Your grade is basically 4 tests (20%) 1 paper (10%) and kaplan (10%) but lab and clinical fall under your lecture class but the work you do for it doesn't count towards your grade. It was most definitely beneficial I think. Clinical and lab are either a pass or fail.

guru123, parking is the same, i would most definitely try to get lot 2 or 1 since they are the closest, i got lot 4 and i always park on pearl st

hi again mliglesias,

I just received my orientation letter and noticed information regarding the June workshop. Do you recall the 90 question Kaplan test? Is it more TEAS related or is it material that we have to read and ultimately answer? Hopefully we see you at the orientation!

The test is just to see where you stand i guess you could say. There isnt really a way to prep for it and noone at my orientation did good on it. It doesn't count towards anything. We will be selling Coffee Koozies and tumblers that both say STCC nursing on it, and possible t-shirts!

Hi All,

What do people think they are going to wear to the orientation on May 18th?

I haven't received my orientation letter yet :(

What are people wearing tomorrow??? Hope someone checks this!

Anyone else's head spinning?

I really really really want our schedules as I need to plan childcare and work! Does anyone remember what the choices were that we ranked for clinical. It all happened so fast I am not even sure what they were.

Choices are: Full Day Clinical Mon. or Tues 7am-4pm

Two Day Clinical Mon. 8am-12n, tues. 7 am-12n

Two Day Clinical Mon 5pm-9 pm, Tues. 3pm-8pm
