You're so close; take a deep breath and shake out some of those nerves! You've read the book through, you know your skills...
and you'll do great! ((((((((hug)))))))))
:)
Best,

thanks so much for the support, i know my nerves are frazzled.....i have wanted to be a cna for a while now as i love working with the elderly, and i am this close that i just don't want to make a silly mistake.

I took the NC CNA test 2 weeks ago. I found it a breeze. The big thing for me is in the skills section, just talk your way through it. Don't psych yourself out before you get there.Good luck!
too late, i think i already did that...lol !!! :uhoh21: i am not scared over the written exam, the skills are the big thing for me as well. i just don't want to get up there & freeze. where did you test @ spanky? i am testing at wake tech.
I tested at a place in Shelby. I just wanted to get it over with so i asked for a place that had it everyday. I was the same way. Not really worried about the written, scared to death of the skills. I was worried about some stupid little thing failing me. When I got into the testing room, the nurse proctor was real nice which made it easier. The thing that made it so easy is I literally said every step as I did it. She was fine with that. It was just like in school, 1 step after another. It went very smooth. Seeing as your worried about it, that means your studying, so you'll do fine. Just try to relax. It helped so much when I did that in the testing room. You'll do great. Good luck!
thanks a bunch :) i do plan to talk my way through it , i practiced it yesterday with a friend of mine i was in class with & did fine. it's just a case of bad nerves i guess.

Took my test Friday, i get BBBBaaaaaadddddd test anxiety. Just keep telling urself u can do it repeat it to urself out loud. be confident.
i did this and when i showed up i volunteered to go first (which i never do) i went in there took my time, talked with the resident, and did what i was supposed to.
U KNOW ALL THE SKILLS, YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!
i didnt sleep the night b4 my test so its normal but dont let the nerves get the best of u, most ppl failed cuz they let their nerves win.

Kim8501, YOU'RE GOING TO DO GREAT! YOU KNOW IT ALL AND AFTER ITS OVER YOU WILL BE CELEBRATING AND DANCING!
The test is not as bad as it seems, the written is easy, common sense stuff and the skills come down to patient privacy, patient safety, and keeping it clean. Can't wait to hear how well you did!
Spanky36, I tested in Shelby too, very relaxed and easy. I'm sending all future cna students I meet there.
thank you so much to all of you for your kind words....it means alot as you all have been there & you know how i am feeling at this point. y'all make me wish i was testing in shelby...lol
