Hello guys
I need help with this concern of mine, I graduated since 2015 took the Nclex exam ones and failed lol. From what I'm hearing that nursing degree expires after 4 years that if you dont take the nclex and pass after 4 years you have to go back to school. Second question, if there's any state( compact state) that don't have limitation.
My goal is to go to another state take the NCLEX and come back to my state and practice.
Please guys help me out with information. Time is running out for me.
Love y'all

What state are you in?
Texas
Well, you can’t just get a compact license in another state and work in Texas if you live in Texas.
You can take the NCLEX in another state (if you meet that state’s requirements) and then get a license by endorsement in Texas. However, if you have not worked as a nurse in the prior 4 years in that other state, you will need to complete a refresher course, “extensive orientation,” or redo nursing school.

I’m not familiar with Texas laws so there may be other hoops to jump through as well. And it’s possible that Texas bars people from doing what you are proposing entirely. I didn’t look that close. A lawyer might be able to help before you start shelling out money on a license in another state.
