state board nightmares!

Published

in about 2 weeks, im due to take the state board to recieve my CNA. im currently in high school, but attending a tech school in az and dont know how to study for both high school tests and the state board. what do i need to know? can anyone help me out! thanks bunches!!

If your doing well in your CNA course, I wouldn't worry about the written part of the test, you'll most likely do well on it. Granted I took mine over 10 years ago, ours was mostly on safety issues, hand washing, and patient privacy. As for the clinical part, just relax, take a deep breath and have confidence. I agree with the Rapheal that your H.S studies should be a priority. Good luck ! :)

thank you so much for the review of what i should be expecting. i have heard the writen part is very easy. right now, im doing clinicals at the local hospital and am getting more relaxed doing that. im only a junior in high school right now so im getting a head start at things but am getting overwhelmed with school work and worrying about the board. but knowing the support i have, will help me to realize im sure im not the only stressed one out there! thanks again.

Check out your local public library for some CNA review books or something similar. It will help you get used to the types of questions they ask and what kinds of answers they are looking for. Best of luck to you, you sound like a very ambitious young person! :)
