I'm up early, studying for a 3-chapter AP II class that covers the following:
18 essay questions (that we will get 12 of), that are each about 1/2 page long.
3 chapters of PP presentation about 60 slides each.
Plus about 4 diagrams we have to label.
b/c this is summer....I had to start learning this last Monday...I have done my best to pace myself, but I still feel totally unprepared.
I got a C (77) on my last exam...these essay questions take up about 80% of my study time, and b/c I have other things to do (for this class)...I am shocked at how I cannot recall most of the essay information this morning. I reviewed it every day to make sure I didn't forget.
I am putting in so many hours into this it's about to make me cry....we have asked the instructor, to at minimum, give us multiple choice exams and she refuses. The essays DO NOT help..b/c you have to condense the answers to much...it's like you are reading off foreign words, and that is what makes it difficult to put to memory.
I can't even read the chapters the way I want to b/c of the time frame we have...I don't have time to work on the essay questions and read thoroughly, so I have to rely on the PPP. I have a learning disability, and read quickly, but I have very little recall...so for 50 pages, it takes me about 15 hours to learn the information well enough for recall.
I eventually want to go to graduate school, but I'm wondering, if I am having trouble with this...how could I survive in graduate school? I work so hard, and how can I be so stupid to put day after day hour after hour into an exam, and still not be able to recall anything?????
I have done everything that I can...I just don't even want to take the exam this morning and just quit.

I agree w/what HandsOn said--if you have a "documented" learning disability, take any help available.
That said, it sounds like you have a better handle on things today.
It's amazing sometimes when we get pushed beyond what we think we can handle, and then we come up a winner!
GREAT WORK!!!
