Starting a home care agency? Still a nursing student.

I'm currently in Ontario and am starting a home care agency this June. I've been planning it out for the past four months, have a $3000 grant from the government, and $10,000 of disposable income from my last job.

However, I'm still a second year nursing student and I have to start it this summer to get the grant.

Is there anybody out there who has a home care agency, or is thinking of starting one, and has advice for me? Or even somebody who has started a business as a student. I'd love to keep in touch with you!

P.S. I know it will be difficult as a student. I've worked 40 hour weeks at my previous jobs during the school year while maintaining straight A's. I'm positive that I'm capable of starting it up and gaining clients from June to the beginning of September, as well as maintaining the business during the school year.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.
Good morning,

My Name is Kimberly. I wanted to see if you could get in contact with you on the home care agency information. I am trying to start a business myself here in Houston tx, as well as going to school. I would really appreciated if you could help me.

You realize this is for Canada and will not be relevant for Texas?

Hello,

I'm interested in doing the same as you but in another city. Can you please tell me what licenses you needed to obtain before you started your business? And the type of insurances you needed?
