Hi! I'm very excited to be starting as Associates in Nursing in the Fall. What would you recommend I read or study to prepare? I'd like to get a handle on medical math and fundamentals of Nursing so I won't feel so overwhelmed. Any good books on critical thinking skills too? Would love any tips or advice! Thanks 😊ðŸ’

I recommend relaxing and spending time with family and friends before school starts. Just my 2¢.. You will be fairly busy once school starts.
I suppose the medical math part can be intimidating at first, but once you catch on its pretty simple.

Yes, enjoy time with your family and take a break from the books. I did not study prior to starting class with the exception of the following book which I recommend (Test Success: Test-Taking Techniques for Beginning Nursing Students: 978

I agree with the above posters, enjoy your summer and have fun. Once first semester starts, you'll be pretty busy.
However, in order to learn med-math I would learn conversions then practice questions like the ones you find on mightynurse.com, dosagehelp.com.
Also, take the time to develop a healthy way to cope with stress. Like exercise, healthy eating, volunteering or whatever works for you.
Excellent advice, thank you all í ½í¸Š
I've been given a copy of Calculate With Confidence by a current student in the program and I'll have a read through that along with the Test Success book. I am so excited to start, I know I should just enjoy this summer before all the chaos and stress begins. It's been a long time coming, getting accepted, it feels like a dream come true and I want to make the most of every minute.
