Starting CNA program

I just registered for a CNA program starting this Sept. I'm currently also working on my pre-reqs for nursing school (have just one left!). I'm curious as to what is covered in the CNA program. I know that transport, bathing etc is part of it, but can anyone tell me anything further? Many thanks.

I think as most of us know and many of us are learning, it goes a lot further then most people think :)

It does cover bathing and transport but theres a unit on medical terminology, a whole lot on legal issues, there are sections on basic first aid, we have cpr that we have to get certified for, there are nutritional classes and i'm sure a whole that I haven't even gotten too. It is from what I've found a great prep for anyone who wants to be a nurse. You'll have fun, make new friends, work your rear end off and get some exp. Keep us posted on how the class goes :)

Thanks so much for all the info! I can't wait to start!

Hi I start my CNA classes on Monday, I am so excited and nervous, This will hopefully be the begining of my RN journey! My classes are 5 weeks 3 hours twice a week, Plus we have to take an additional cpr an first aid course. :nurse:
