Starting CNA Class

Published

I just got the word that the class will be starting in August. I've been wanting to be a nurse since I was in high school, and with my son in jr. high, it feels like the right time to start the journey. Next year, I plan to start taking pre-reqs at the community college.

I know I shouldn't be, but I'm nervous already. New things are always a bit scary.

No, seven WEEKS. Yes, we did our Ct state test for our license on the last day of class.

I took a 3 week CNA class in July, and will not be able to sit for the certification test until mid-September! And no one wants to touch you here without your certification. We had class from 8 am - 3 am, Mon-Fri for 2 weeks, and our clinicals from 7 am - 3 pm the last week. This was a big part of the reason why I took this class, which by the way has a 96% first time Pass Rate. People that finished in the class BEFORE me are just being able to sit for thier certification. It is so frustrating that they have this big wait list! You are lucky!

Well, it's almost time. I start class in a week, and I'm getting nervous. Class runs until December, so hopefully I'll be employed by Christmas. Or rather, after Christmas. :nuke:
