Starting classes in January

I am starting back to classes in January for Nursing. Along with my daughter. I have to take my

ACT's in the spring but will be starting on my A&P 1 class and a Human Development class. Really nervous. I already have a bachelors degree in Accounting and ready for something different for sure. Its been 5 years since being in a classroom. I am going to start now with studying for the ACT test. never took it back in high school. Should be interesting to say the least. All my kids are adults now, so I have no little ones to worry about (except to play with my grandson, lol) Hoping to make some friends on here to help me out thru tough times and give me some moral support to get thru this. I hope I make a good nurse.

Hi Michelle. Good Luck in all your classes! I started taking pre reqs last fall and feel like I've been in school forever, but now I'm 3 months away from starting nursing school! I'm in anatomy right now. I have a lot of notes if you're interested!

Hi, Michelle, congratulation on your decision. Last time I was at school 8 years ago when I finished my paralegal degree. A year ago I decided go back and was thinking between accounting and nursing and did choose nursing. I finished my pre-req and just applied to start a program in January. I am 37 and have 3 children:17, 14, 12. So affraid that it will be too hard, they are not adult yet and need me a lot. It's good that your kids are adult now. Good luck in school, you are not alone!!!

I am starting my pre reqs in January as well. I have not been to school since high school 11 years ago! I am really nervous, but I took my HESI today and got 90+ in all areas so I think I will be OK.

I have two girls 16 months and 5 years. My youngest should be in Kindergarten when I enter the program so I can still have extra time with her now.

I also am starting my prereqs in January starting with A&P. I haven't taken classes in a long time either (10 years!) and am nervous about going back. I already picked up some flashcards and have downloaded some lectures...I figure if I start studying now, some of it should stick, right? :wink2:

Don't worry...you will do great! If ever need someone to talk to for support, share notes, etc., feel free to email me...I could use the same!
