I just can't seem to get a good grade for micro bio...anatomy 1 and 2, i found it incredibly easy.

so far we've had 2 lecture tests..got D's :(. all of my quizes are really good..all 90's and 100's but tests...i just get amnesia. even the practical i did good. so my prof. spoke to me the other day and asked me if i wanted to discontinue the class...i thought that was pretty demotivating since we still have 5 quizzes and 2 tests and 1 practical and an unknown left. i felt so sad when he told me that. i told him that i've been a bit side tracked with the acceptance to nursing school and doing errands like getting CPR certified and registration for nursing class etc. i told him that my quizzes are good and practical also i made a good effort...he just said if you keep getting D's for lecture test, that'll be the grade you get. :o

couple of students were talking to each other saying they need to get an A so they're going to ask the prof. for extra credit and bring their grade up...so i figured i should ask him if i can do some extra credit to get a C not an A. so i wrote him an email 2 days ago explaining myself...umm no reply from him yet. i'm stressed over that now.

thanks for listening guys.

How are the other students doing on these lecture tests? Are you taking adequate notes, or is the teacher not covering enough, or properly covering the material from lecture?

I hope that you find out and are able to go from there.

Hi, the Professor asking you to drop seems de-motivating right now, but he/she is trying to do you a favor. He/she is trying to let you know before the deadline passes to drop or withdraw. I am a Professor and I hate giving out bad grades. So I definitely notify students of his/her status before deadlines. If the deadline passes and you are not able to receive extra credit, you will earn a poor grade in the course. It is that simple. :o

I know you are already in the nursing program but these courses (co-reqs) still matter and are usually apart of the nursing program evaluation every semester. At my school the department evaluates students per semester and so non-nursing courses are still looked at along with the clinical courses in terms of allowing students to move forward in the program. I know you feel bad but a "W" or a drop is better then an "D". :trout: Good luck to you.
