Has anybody else applied to the StaRN residency at Mountainview/Southern Hills/Sunrise? I got invited to do the on-demand interview but haven't heard anything since I completed it. Does anybody know the timeline for this?

@alosalot Have you gotten in touch with a recruiter yet? It’s kind of difficult to navigate the allnurses website it’s so poorly designed, especially in regards to replying to a specific post.

You interviewed correct and now you’re just waiting to hear back?

You’re right about getting in touch with her by phone. I’m not sure if the recruiter is more responsive to communications from applicants when the email is someone responding in regards to a request to interview/ have already interviewed/ follow-up post interview.

Tomorrow is the day!

@Avilag90 No, I don’t know the unit manager...I wish I did. I referenced the director of nursing because I thought she said at the end of the interview follow up with me if you have any questions or something along those lines.

Honestly, I’m not really sure what she said only because the more I try to remember the more I realize that I was mainly focusing on trying to remain calm, coherent, and poised. I definitely agree with you that I think contacting the director would be bothersome to her day if you think of all the responsibilities she has and is probably not at a desk a lot.

So it makes more sense to contact the recruiter to find out info.

Thanks for the advice.

You never know! I would reach out for your own peace of mind. I think if you know the unit manager of the unit you want to work on then reach out to them but if you don’t go with the recruiter! I wouldn’t contact the Director of critical care though. She said if I had any question regarding employment to contact the recruiter. Just call and ask for an update. She is super nice and has always answered when I reached out to her by phone.

@Avilag90

So I reached via email to the recruiter on Friday and I think I’ve been ghosted. I haven’t heard back from the recruiter and I also sent a follow up email with the nursing director today and also haven’t heard back.

I know it’s the “norm” to not hear anything, but I still don’t think it’s professional nor acceptable. Applicants spend a lot of time and effort applying for these jobs and I think even a generic rejection letter is better than none at all

I definitely agree that rejection emails should be sent out! It’s the worst waiting around for them to reach out to us. They aren’t the only hospitals that don’t send out rejection notices though. I’m guessing it’s just not something hospitals do here.
I honestly don’t think they are ghosting you. They probably receive so many emails they don’t even see it. It might even end up in junk mail, who knows. Thats why I suggested calling the recruiter instead. Same thing happened to me. The only way I was able to get in contact with the recruiter was by phone.

Hi all, I did my on-demand interview beginning of august for sunrise hospital and received an email for an interview. I was able to schedule an interview next week and was wondering how the interview was like? I also applied mountain view but haven't heard from them at all. I am just so nervous and scared for the interview
