@Avilag90 So I reached via email to the recruiter on Friday and I think I’ve been ghosted. I haven’t heard back from the recruiter and I also sent a follow up email with the nursing director today and also haven’t heard back. I know it’s the “norm” to not hear anything, but I still don’t think it’s professional nor acceptable. Applicants spend a lot of time and effort applying for these jobs and I think even a generic rejection letter is better than none at all

@Avilag90 No, I don’t know the unit manager...I wish I did. I referenced the director of nursing because I thought she said at the end of the interview follow up with me if you have any questions or something along those lines. Honestly, I’m not really sure what she said only because the more I try to remember the more I realize that I was mainly focusing on trying to remain calm, coherent, and poised. I definitely agree with you that I think contacting the director would be bothersome to her day if you think of all the responsibilities she has and is probably not at a desk a lot. So it makes more sense to contact the recruiter to find out info. Thanks for the advice.

@alosalot Have you gotten in touch with a recruiter yet? It’s kind of difficult to navigate the allnurses website it’s so poorly designed, especially in regards to replying to a specific post. You interviewed correct and now you’re just waiting to hear back? You’re right about getting in touch with her by phone. I’m not sure if the recruiter is more responsive to communications from applicants when the email is someone responding in regards to a request to interview/ have already interviewed/ follow-up post interview. Tomorrow is the day!

No, I didn’t contact anyone. I’m still kind of wishfully holding out hope that I miraculously get an email or phone call. I’ve asked so many people’s opinion on who I should contact (recruiter or nurse manager) and I keep on getting different answers. I’m not sure how I envision this situation playing out. Imagine I email the recruiter or nurse manager following up on my application. Has it ever happened where they said “Oh, I’m so happy you followed up! I was just about to email/ call you to offer you the job!”

Got it. I wasn’t sure if you were the person I was talking to at the interview. Since the interviews were running behind schedule there was another applicant waiting when I arrived.

Yes, I have the recruiter's number. What time was your interview at? My interview was scheduled at 2 pm.

Thank you! I was debating on whether or not I should email the recruiter tonight or tomorrow to follow up, but maybe I’ll wait till tomorrow. If I don’t hear anything by the morning I will follow up. Do you think I should email the lead recruiter or the director of nursing who was at the interview? What day last week was your interview?- StaRN Las Vegas
Congratulations! That’s so exciting! Did they email you the offer? So you didn’t end up contacting the recruiter to follow up and then have them reply? A recruiter contacted you on their own and let you know you got the job? sorry for the specificity of the questions?- StaRN Las Vegas
I haven’t heard anything yet. It’s been a full week since I’ve interviewed. I’m starting to get worried. Did you end up contacting them for a status update?- StaRN Las Vegas
Did you do an in person interview last week?- StaRN Las Vegas
I interviewed last week. I thought the interview went well. I asked their timeline to hire and they said they still had more interviews scheduled, but by this week I should hear from them. They said if I don’t hear from them then to contact them. I’m probably overthinking it, but I wish I asked like when next week they had in mind.- StaRN Las Vegas
How did your interview go? Have you heard back yet from them?- StaRN Las Vegas
