Stanford New Graduate RN Residency Program Summer 2015

I didn't see this topic on here yet so I thought I would start one! :up: Has anyone heard anything about interviews for the Stanford New Grad RN program yet? What units are you interested in?

Yea- not to cause any panic... but I was told to not expect an answer earlier than Aug 13 =(

Has anyone had interviews in neuro, G1/H1 yet? How did it go?

I had an interview for this unit on Tuesday. It was a panel interview. 3 of us were interviewing at the same time, and the group before us had 4 people interviewing at the same time. So it was just like the first round panel interview. Questions were also similar. But the management team was really nice and friendly, and helped everyone feel comfortable.

Greyiriis34: I was also told not to expect an answer before August 13th.. The wait is going to be awful..

I had my interview on Thursday in G1/H1 because I had my NCLEX scheduled that day :/ I am so grateful that they moved it so I could interview.

Hope it all went well for you guys! I was informed we may hear back on August 7th but I was so nervous that I may have heard wrong.

Has anyone had a chance to ask them how many people they plan on hiring? Looks like a lot of people were interviewed.

I was told at the panel interview that they were interviewing 45 and hiring ~30. I also heard that "most people" should hear by Aug 7.

I just received confirmation from HR that we should know by Friday if we have been selected for the positions!!

Oh great! Did they really say that? I was wondering about how this works: same units interview let's say 7 of us (number I actually heard for one of positions)... then we rate our units and some may get two/three offers. Those amazing candidates obviously can only select ONE unit. Then the rest of us would be matched to the units by their "second before choice" -- so that taked time.... Aug 7 would be great!! The wait just feels so long! And I know that you guys all know what it is like. Nice to have this forum. Good luck everyone!!!

Congratulations jbl123! I'm just had my last interview today so will most likely be playing the waiting game for a few days yet. So a question....are you still waiting to hear from the other units you interviewed with, or have those units all returned their top picks? I'm just wondering if you have the option to pick and choose in case more than one unit chose you.

Positivepwr- It's my understanding that HR only calls you once, after you've completed all your interviews with potential offer(s). That way you have all your options at once.
