Stanford Health Care Nurse Residency Cohort 41

Published

Hey guys! I'm starting this thread for the Stanford Nurse Residency, Cohort 41. Hopefully we can update each other on application processes, interviews, and job offers!

Applications open up at 12 am tonight! Good luck to all of us!

Boo, I revived a rejection email @ 12:33 just now ;( oh well. I'll apply next cohort. Good luck to all

I still have yet to get a rejection letter but didn't get an interview ...? Kinda confused! Is anyone else in the same boat?

I'm in the same boat - no rejection letter yet but also no interview. I applied last cohort and the same thing happened. I didn't get a rejection letter until like 2-3 months later. I wish they would send them out at once

I'm also in the same boat! Thinking that we are in the waitlist position (people may cancel interview spots last minute). The wait is brutal.

For those of you who had interviews today! congratulations you got through in!! I would love to hear about your experience and how it went? were the questions all behavioral? did they ask you about why Stanford or an introduction? I am so nervous for my interview!! would love any insight or help or advice <3333 !

Everyone had a turn for their introductions after all the unit managers introduced themselves at the start. There were four questions and all questions were behavioral. Make sure you follow the structure of what happened, what did you do, and what was the outcome? Go through the list of nursing qualities in their interview webinar and pick stories that can cover multiple areas. Personally, the interview was a little stiff overall but just try to really be yourself and showcase who you are. You've worked hard to prepare for this interview and know all your stuff, so don't let the nerves get the hang of you. Good luck everyone 👍

(To be clear, I am speaking from experience from this Spring cohort, Medicine AAU)

Specializes in LVN.

didn't receive invite nor rejection... anyone in the same situation?

Specializes in Cardiovascular.

No invitation, no rejection !

Thank you for sharing this! I wonder if they ask you to talk about why nursing in the introduction? Or just tell me about yourself?

TIA! 🙏

Has anybody already been contacted for an in-person interview by the hiring manager?

They did. We were asked to include why nursing in our intro + any relevant experiences, but I've heard people share other things as well (father of two kids, past military experience, etc.). If something is an important part of who you are and your identity, I think you can be flexible with it and make it your own.

Anybody willing to share how their experience was from today's interview? Good job ya'll for making it this far.. I'm rooting for each and everyone of you!
