Can you CLEP it? Search here and see if your school will take CLEP credits https://clep.collegeboard.org/search/colleges
If not, maybe an online course? I was in the same boat - I had to go back and take Psych 101 even though I had abnormal, developmental, child - you name it! Just do it as cheaply and quickly as possible.
We can only CLEP Psy 101, I took that one already -_-
Oh well, I decided to just get my degree without the minor, that's the one that counts the most so now I am just studying for the NCLEX. I decided to just put in my resume, "Earned 18 credits in Psychology." At least it shows that I took several courses on the subject LOL.
And to JNHERRIN, that was exactly what I wanted to do, but unfortunately I found out that I need my diploma to apply for the NCLEX or else I'd be forced to wait until December to finally apply for the NCLEX.

Does anyone know if there is any colleges that offer stand alone minors in Psychology? I've been looking around and I found one that offers stand alone minors, but in other subjects.
I just feel very silly. I went through the whole Nursing school and even took Psychology courses during my waiting time and finished my last Psychology course (or so I thought) during Nursing school.
I finally got done with Nursing school last week, only to find out that I did not meet my minor requirements. I was supposed to take a lower level core requirement Psychology course to meet it, but I instead took an upper level elective that would greatly serve my career (Psychology of Stress and Coping, instead of Personality or some random stuff that I would never use, such as Psychology statistics?). I petitioned to use my course instead of the required core course and got rejected of course.
Now I have the option to take one more course to get my minor and delay getting my diploma and taking the NCLEX until December (possibly in January). I really don't want to do this because I don't want to put the NCLEX off for so long and therefore, greatly reduce my chances of passing it on my first try. Anyways, I had to forego my minor, but I feel so silly and dumb for having overlooked the core requirement in the catalog.
Anyways, I know a minor is pretty useless, but I just wanted it because school took so long and I wanted to have it in my transcript and put it on my resume. I really wish I could have completed it and would love to complete it after my NCLEX, but there are no stand alone minors offered at my univesity obviously. Do you guys have any advice? Any other college that can take my measly 18 Psy credits and let me finish it with maybe a couple of courses after I get my Bachelors? Ahhh... thanks guys, at least Nursing school is over -_- (Sorry for the long post!)
