Staffing agency or direct apply to hospitals?

Hi! Any advice to a new grad nurse on what’s better, to apply in an agency or go to the hospital’s website to apply? I really wanted to work in a hospital so I’m quite hesitant in applying to agency. Any help please thankyou!

Apply to the hospital. Why would you go through a middleman?

Oh ‘cause there’s a lot of job openings posted, but today I found out that they place the RN’s in nursing homes. I wanted to work in a hospital but I think hospitals don't have lots of nurse residency programs due to covid.

Agency or traveling assignments require that you hit the ground running. If you are VERY lucky, you might get a shift with a staffer to get oriented, but at the price the facility is paying for your time, it’s unlikely. Not a good idea for a new grad, in my opinion.
