Does anybody know more information about the BSN program at St Thomas University Miami or now someone in the program? Their BSN program is recently new.
Thanks
Thank you. I can't waste another year . Next term is August. Guys go to the Florida Board of Nursing and search for the passing rate of nclex of the school of your interest. It does not matter if the school status is approved or accredited. STU is approved not acredited, their program is new, but the nclex passing rate is very important. If you need help how to find that let me know. Well, that sucks. In real life a nurse does not need to know how to find a slope or do a long polynomial division, so pre calculus is a waste of time and money.
Google Florida Board of Nursing Passing Rate and go down where it says 1st Quater 2nd Quater. It will open up as a pdf file and will tell you how many candidates presented for the first time and passed. PN is for practical nursing. All florida Approved school will show there.

Guys I don't want to kill your vibes but they do have a waiting list, I could not apply for August so I was placed for Spring, remember that there is no entrance exam, no interview and I know this for a fact bc I know someone who got accepted, unfortunately we are treated as numbers, the better your GPA, better opportunities, but this does not stop me. @ Nathalie cheer up, I am not giving up, if you want to know my story we can meet in person, but I will give you a bit of my background, I have a 3.8 Science GPA, overall is in the border line 3.0. I applied with Nova one time and got denied bc of the Kaplan, the interview and essay went perfect, I went in person to asked why I was denied and the review my notes it was bc of this Exam,I applied a second time and did not get an interview, I received a weird letter in the mail saying that I don't qualify so I called and they explained that grade policy has change and for every repeated classes your gpa goes down by a point. It was fine before but since this new policy my overall gpa now is not at 3.00. I have a repeat in Psychology, got sick and passed with D. I am tired of collecting information folders for every possible school you could ever think of. Keiser, Chamberlain, West Coast, FNU, Barry and no one would take me... why? Because I took A&P 10 years ago and they have a time frame, some would accept you with a 5 years old time frame. I'm not going to retake classes that I passed both with As and paid out of pocket. It has been a long journey for me. I took ESL, then remedial classes, the college classes, paid my entire AA-In pre nursing out of pocket, graduated from MDC, and I am still not giving up, I kind of put my education aside bc we all at a certain point get comfortable in life and if you have a decent job you kind of take one class here and there. I work at a medical office for almost 11 years, know how to do ekgs, draw blood, everything that a M.A do (Some nurses don't know how to draw blood bc at the hospital the lab tech comes), keep in mind that I do it under supervision. So yeah I'm tired of being rejected. Cheer up guys a door has to open. Right now what I can think of is if I don't hear from STU by mid October I'm going to do the LPN(You may think it sucks) but how far would you go for your dreams? I may do it at Sheridan Tech in Broward, I live in Miami, the School is in the middle of nowhere, but still don't care, no entrance exam if you have your AA and the school is public, cheaper and accredited, I cannot be wasting any more time, I would do it with Mercy but the next term starts in April 2018, then once you have your license I will apply with Mercy Hospital, all you need is to pass an entrance exam which is basically basic knowledge you learned in LPN school. Cheer up guys if you want to take a different route go to Keiser, Chamberlain they will take you, even though we all want to go to a reputable well know school keep trying, like I said those schools will not take me bc of the issue with the Anatomy; only Nova, Barry, and Mercy, and got denied from two. Sorry for the long post and pardon any bad spelling. We got this and we will be nurses no matter what!!!!!!!!!!!!
