I recently completed all the classes in the program and have been delighted that the program is changing little by little for the better. There were definitely some hiccups along the way, with communication problems here and there but all in all I finished with a 3.83 GPA and am very excited to graduate in May. Would I choose the same program if I had the chance? Yes! In the grand scheme of things every program will have its pros and cons, it’s old and downs and in general the program was fair. Congrats to everyone beginning or at the tail end of completing all their program requirements!
Could you please email me [email protected] I have some questions about this program ! Please !
Hello everyone!
Just following up with you guys on my experience with the program so far. I started and successfully completed my first term and will be starting my 2nd term august 21st. My experience so far is nothing like what I read from the previous students and I also remember reading a post from another student who said they were making a lot of changes in the program that would make things better for the students. I even received calls from student success just to follow up with me and ask if I have any concerns or issues I would like to address. I went and have a sit down with the dean and she’s awesome ??. As far as classes are concerned, my professors were very active in our discussions and the actually reply to emails on time. I took patho and it’s wasn’t as bad because of the lecture videos and the PowerPoints. It’s definitely doable and I’m happy I got stared.

There are still some hiccups in the program where it needs to be changed. Depending on whether you are doing full online or on campus program will depend on the way the courses are done.

It was very difficult while I was in it due to feeling like I was on my own the whole time. Your grade is based off of tests and discussions only, the tests were hard and didn’t make sense the majority of the time. It’s very fast paced if you do the full time program. 2 classes every 7 weeks. There were no resources other than the book that was assigned. I had difficulty finding info on which book to purchase before class started so I started most classes without a book, the only resource. I didn’t think professors were that helpful and getting a hold of anyone at the school is almost impossible, I’m actually still waiting to receive my diploma from them 5 months later ?♀️. It slightly improved at the end of my program, hopefully it continued to improve for everyone else after that. It’s a lot of work but for the quick pace and price you cant really find anything similar. You have to be very dedicated and independent as you are your only resource, at least in the online program. With all that being said, I passed the ANCC exam recently so it all paid off. I took a break and time off to study for a few months before taking it. All in all, I became a board certified FNP in under 2 years at a substantially lower price than some other people I know who went to different schools. Although brick and mortar may have been more beneficial, I feel that you get out of school what you put in. I learned a lot from my preceptors and my own research.
Also, finding preceptors is difficult because this school doesn’t have many affiliations, I really lucked out because they were one of the only schools allowing their students to do clinicals during the pandemic, leaving sites in my area open.
Good luck to all! It was hard but definitely possible. Every school has its ups and downs.
Hi congratulations

Hello, good evening. Just took the 1st pharmacology exam, and failed. I read the chapters, but I felt that quite a bit of the material was not on that test. I admit that I didn't really commit a lot of the information in the boxes and tables to memory. In hindsite, I probably should have. Anyways, just wanted to know if you have any tips or advice, friendly suggestions about what I can be doing differently? I really want to pass this class! Thank you so much! ?
I am currently enrolled and I have had to drop classes on 2 occasions related to incorrect text book posted at the bookstore.I have experienced difficulties throughout the program such as studying for test and test content was not over material covered. It seems unfair to a student that is paying cash money for the program that the instructors are not all concerned on why students are failing. Luckily I have managed to pass all of the classes. But I am concerned on how they can continue to run the program in this manner without any consequences for their actions. I Wish I knew who to report the school to for investigation of deceitful practice. Sadly to say it appears to be Nurses that have more experience and still cannot behave in a professional manor.Instructors should be more then willing to advocate for fairness and equitable learning experience for all. This is not the case at St.Thomas in Miami
