During your appointment when they schedule your HESI exam, they tell you to buy the book from the bursar's. It was $32 if I'm not mistaken. They also provide a free HESI review class taught by Professor Kramer that I think you're required to attend at least 2 sessions(?) But I would recommend that you try to attend all 4 if your schedule permits. Another piece of advice I'd give to all prospective students is to make sure you know the material somewhat *BEFORE* coming to the review class. Because of time constrictions, if you go into the class learning the material for the first time you might not be able to fully get the help you need. Since he goes over EVERYTHING thats going to be on the exam all time allows him to do is review it with you, go over alternative methods, provide you with shortcuts, and give you tips but that's under the assumption that you already have the basic foundation down. At the end of each session he provides an assessment exam that really shows you what you need to work on. Professor Kramer was awesome for me and I really attribute a lot of my success on the exam to his study material.
As for the transfer of your credits, I think the rule is that the class had to have been taken within the past 4 years for it to be transferable. But double check that with your advisor though.
Let me know if you have any questions about the HESI. I was a nervous wreck for that exam and I would love to help out anybody that needs it so they don't have to go through the stress and mini panic attacks that I went through
i just spoke to mrs lopez she told me that the general ed classes like english, psychology, sociology have to be within 5 years and the science classes have to be within 3-4 years
Yes I just called an hour ago. They finally got the transcript. The woman went to check the mail after I called. Now just waiting for the committee to go thru my application
