I'm curious if anybody got their acceptance letter yet?
I just recently took my entrance test - it was easy. They changed the test style. After the first test comes the HESI which I know would be more challenging. The name of the entrance test is not DET anymore. It stinks considering on the application packet it says that the test would be DET and even recommended to buy the book guide - I bought it unfortunately. Anyway, anybody applied to other nursing school aside from st.paul's?
Arg anyone waiting for their acceptance letter? What's your GPA? Are you in the morning or evening program?
hi there, it is very nice to meet u guys. i'm going to apply to st. pauls in queens. i really want to know about hesi vocabulary and reading exam in details. what kinds of vocabulary they would ask? i'm very scared bc english is not my first language and i'm not good at reading and vocabulary. any advices or smart tricks would be appreciated.tell me please!!!!!! thanks in advance.
Hi everyone, I just found out that the wrong schedule was sent out and a new one is coming. Also the Queens school is selling books, I think just for Nursing 100, 101 and 103. They're selling scrubs as well and from what I hear, everyone has to wear scrubs to all classes. Which is fine by me, now I don't need to figure out what to where everyday!
Anyway, Financial Aid is done, they do the goverment loans for you and FA also helped me do my FASFA, cuz I messed up something:o!
C everyone at orientation on the 25!

Hello Angel80,
When you apply to the school I recommend you buy the book they are selling which reviews each section of the entrance exam. Some of the vocabulary came from the review book and some did not. The review book has practice questions for the all sections. The only advice i can give you is to buy the book!!!! It really helped me out.
Thanks a lot to Tani41288, i really appreciate yr help. i took 12 min. exam and i got 14, so they gave me another chance to retake it on friday. it wasn't piece of cake for me( of caurse when u r not a native speaker). i was so scared that i was looking at the clock and got stuck each question. i don't know what i would do second time. wish me luck guys.:crying2: a lady from st. pauls said if i don't pass second time, i can't apply for nursing there. if i pass, i will have to take 4 hours exam in order to apply to nursing there. weird!!!! private schools also want excellant students. what would happen to avarage students???????
Yes I reciceved the revised one as well but did not notice a difference. However for evening students I spoken to someone in regards to the double labs on Tuesday and Thursday. She said we will be divided into 2 groups depending on whether or not we need to take psychology there or not since it overlaps with the lab on Thursday. I can't seem to find the letter that had the information for orientation. Does anyone know what time it takes place? I know it's the 25th but I am not sure if its the same for both day and evening. I am in the evening program.

Half.com seems like the best route to go as far as books go. Better deals than Amazon.
