I haven't been able to find a thread on St. Paul School of Nursing for fall 2019, so I'm creating one. Has anyone taken the HESI exam yet? If so, what were your scores? I've only taken the SLE exam and scored a 23 on it. I take the HESI in a week.

me too!! I was told to wait until the 19th to find out... I am also nervous because waiting sucks and I really would just like to know. They also told me they had so many applicants but sometimes I think that's just the school acting up because they can. This is a for profit school and I think as long as you have the scores to get it they will take you because they want your money. It's like 51k for an associates... insane!!

Yea I’ve heard about that and I’ve seen many reviews as well as personal experience with a family member who attended there and is an RN now for 4 years now. No nursing school is perfect really, I’ve already planted that in my head. But I know a friend of mine who got in 3 or so weeks ago and I sent my application 2 days after her and have been waiting. My score on the SLE was a 29 on the first try. I handed in my everything, even 3 recommendation letters by accident because I thought one of my references fell through sooooo I really don’t know now. They said by this week when I called Monday last week too but no specified day

I completely understand you. I feel like we are on the same boat and I also think its partly because they are a bit disorganized. We have to just try and be patient and let things take their natural course. At the end of the day we did the best we could so lets just keep our positivity strong and hope for a good outcome. lets keep each other posted!!

Also I would like to mention how my "advisor" told me I didn't need to give any letters of recommendation or a personal statement at all.... it was only because of my common sense to ask other people from the school and the financial aid lady who highly encouraged me to do so. I thought it was odd that the advisor would say it wasn't necessary.

It’s actually true, it just makes your application desirable. My aunt got in with no recommendation letters when she got in 2012/13 but it took her a little while to actually get into the school. She was applying from before the name changed from st Vincent.

No I totally get it.... but my thing is that why would the advisor tell me not to and that it wasn't necessary? Thats so stupid! Thank goodness I already had them because most schools if not all ask you for rec letters and personals statements.

Yeah let's hope so. To be honest my GPA wasn't the best but no the worst so I am hoping that they are looking at everything. im supposed to know something tomorrow but I am not gonna call them. at this point its been long enough so I am going to wait until they contact me.
