I was just wondering if any one has received a response from SLMC GC about the schedule of PGNT1 for batch 2? I already have submitted my requirements and I have paid the initial training fee just recently but I haven't received any text message yet about the schedule of the training. I am just a bit worried because I received a call from a number I don't recognize on Friday about 5:30 AM and I wasn't able to answer it. SLMC told me that the training will probably start last Friday but then again I haven't received any text message from them. I hope the number is not theirs and that the training will start soon. :|
can you explain pls what is the difference of pgnt, nset and isf. Do they belong in 1 program? I mean the 3mos program that you need to pay 10k?
PGNT- (post graduate nurse training AND YES THIS IS THE 10k program) all apllicants who will pass the screening will undergo this program. PGNT is a 3month EXTERNAL (means you're not yet part of st lukes) program full of lectures, return demonstrations and duty to different units. You'll be evaluated. After the program, you'll all graduate and you will recieve a letter if you are recommended for NSET.
NSET- Nurse Staff Effectiveness Training - FREE
This is their INTERNAL Program. From pgnt, they have selected candidates who will continue and be part of St. Luke's. 9days
ISF- INDUCTION TO ST LUKE'S FAMILY - FREE
5 days.. An orientation for the incoming associates of st lukes
Just do your best guys..SLMC is very fair. I have no backer, you just prove to them that you can.
just an update:batch 10 is moving! Some of us are to be deployed already to our respected areas.
Are you the one who chooses your area or they will deploy you to the area they think they lack staff?. Im talking about pgnt and nset. I hope if i will have the change to choose, i'll definitely choose operating room since i got a lot of experience there and training in all specialty and mastered about 80% of surgical procedures.

It all depends on your grades and performance in pgnt on what area you will be assigned to.
I would suggest that you pass your cv personally in HR office rather than submitting it via email. About the guard at the employees entrance; There is a simple way to go directly to the HR office rather than just go in the front of employees entrance and give your resume to the guard. Go to the main entrance or to the Medical Arts Bldg then use the elevator or use the red door leading to the basement. I suggest using the stairs rather than using the elevator due to the fact that it is healthy and quite faster than waiting.

I only saw your comment today Will the guard in the medical arts building stop me if I went straight inside? I already passed my resume yesterday and the guard in the medical arts pointed me to go to the employees entance and so I did. But the lady guard only asked for my resume and board rating. I am praying and hoping it'll be in good hands :)
Like I said, if you go straight there they will think you as a family member of a patient or someone who wants to see a doctor, by the way when you enter the Medical Arts Bldg. there are lots of fastfood there and if you go straight ahead you will see the RED DOOR that i mentioned in the previous post that leads to the basement near the HR office and employees entrance.
