St. John's River State College Nursing Fall 2017

I am applying to SJRSC this May for their Fall 2017 program. I was wondering with the new application no longer being a point system/ not having to have BOTH HESI and the pre-req's are you still applying with both to be looked at twice? My prerequisite's GPA is a 3.8 and one of the advisors says "you won't have a problem getting in at all!" BUT I have an 89,90,and 91 HESI scores which I know you need at least 90 in all three categories (I'm so close!!) to be looked at via the HESI route. Anyways, I don't want to take her word and be crazy disappointed if she's wrong (clearly, I'm still nervous despite her confidence) so should I retake the HESI? Are most applicants applying to be looked at twice in BOTH categories (HESI & GPA)? Would also love for this to be the a forum for the 2017 students to chat and bat around other questions too (as I noticed the other SJRSC forums are from years past)! :-)

I called yesterday. They said we will be notified by the third week in June via email. This is the first semester the are not mailing out letters. The boot camp days are June 28th and 29th. :)

what do you mean by bootcamp days ?

I got a 94 on the HESI as well! So, was anyone else confused about the 3 HESI scores we needed to score at least a 90 on ? One is reading comprehensions, math, and then english language composite, but i noticed in paratheses the english language composite consists of reading comprehension... so... ??

I know it's kind of weird that reading comprehension is part of our English composite score. Mine were English Comp 92, reading comprehension 92 and a 98 in math.

and i check marked the box for either palatka or orange park. i wanted to do some research on the teachers... have any of yall heard anything good or bad about either campus ?

I haven't heard anything in regards to the different campuses. The boot camp is nursing orientation that lsts two days.

Anybody else checking their email 500 times a day?! The anticipation is killing me! I too applied for both campuses with my prerequisites and HESI scores! The waiting game is so stressful!!! Good luck to everyone!

Me! I keep refreshing. I was looking at the past years on here. Seems like people found out around the 14th but letters were dated the 8th. I was hoping to find out before the weekend since its by email this term.

Good luck to everyone I applied with only my GPA to both campuses, but when I turned in my application she asked if I had a choice and she put OP on my app I hope that doesn't ruin my chance of entrance í ½í¸”

Yay!!!!

I feel like a lot of us are nagging them because when I called today she didn't even let me finish my question and said "decisions have not been made yet" ... she could of at least said that they would be sending emails by the end of this week !! Maybe they're not on the same page because when I had submitted my application 2nd to the last week of May, the lady told me that they would make decisions in the first couple weeks of June and would MAIL out letters... kind of weird the person didn't already know they would be doing emails this year...

whatever.. LOL... im just nervous about it all !!!

i wanna know how many people applied and how many people are going to get accepted ....

The break down is supposed to be:

Orange Park 18 GPA 18 HESI

Palatka 18 GPA 18 HESI

For a total of 72. A friend that turned her application in a day before closing said they told her over 175 applications had been turned in.
