St. Francis South

Published

We went down to SouthCrest today for my 20 week ultrasound. When we were getting off 169 I had noticed that they were changing the sign outside of the former St. Francis Heart Hospital. It now reads: St. Francis South.

I wonder when it will formally open?

I also wonder why it failed as a freestanding heart hospital? Does SouthCrest have a better program? I know that on the radio they've really been hyping their success rate. Just curious as to why it failed.

Wonder if they'll do low-risk OB.

OT: BTW, it's a girl!!!

Specializes in Level III cardiac/telemetry.

Congrats!!!!!!!!!

No answer on the hospital issue though.

Specializes in Hospice, Nursing Education, Primary Care.

Congratulations on having a girl!

There is more info at http://www.tulsaworld.com/community/article.aspx?articleID=070619_9_ZB1_spanc23352

on SF South. It doesn't really answer the question as to why the heart hospital was closed down but mentions the patients are being moved to the main campus.
