Hi, I posted before about getting my BSN(at Central) In the mail today I recieved a postcard from St. Francis about an open house for nurses. The info included something about an "onsite RN to BSN program. Anyone have any information about this? Also, any nurses that work at SF? Thank you in advance for your help!

Wow, that really sounds interesting! I'd be curious to know more too! I have a long way to go before I get to the RN-BSN level but it doesn't hurt to inquire early. Keep me posted. Susan

I'm a nursing student working as an NA at St. Fran - The program you are talking about is thru Sacred Heart University. I don't know much beyond that but I will check it out for you when I go to work today and post another reply.
:) :) thank you so much nurturingkneads! any help is greatly appreciated.

Hmm, maybe I'll find out about that during orientation. I was planning on UMASS's online program but this is worth looking into. If no one posts anything about it I'll let you know after orientation in a couple weeks.
Ok here's the deal- the RN-BSN is through Sacred Heart University, and you have class one day a week at the hospital for 2 years, including the summer. Classes run in 8 week segments so it's intensive, but it probably moves along quite nicely. Saint Francis will also give you an interest free loan to pay for it, as well as a little bit of tuition reimbursement. What else...
Well I'm probably gonna stick with UMASS, Sacred Heart has different requirements, but if I hadn't been planning on UMASS I probably would do it, I mean it's right there so you can't get any more convenient.
