St Elizabeth School of Nursing?

Published

I was wondering if there are any current St E students or alumni here. I am considering applying to the nursing school, and would like to know how students and former students feel about the St E.

Thank You

Lilac

I was wondering if you or your friend was going to be living off campus because Iam currently looking for a roomate! I will be attending St. E starting in August of 08!

I don't want to kill the mood or anything, I just happened to be looking at the N-CLEX pass rates and saw this....Only 68% passed last year. I hope you all do really well, but for those of you who are just starting, I would definitely question someone at orientation. Good luck!!!

Really? The information they sent me said that they had a 96% pass rate. Where did you see that information?

I just saw what you were talking about on the BON website. That is scary. I wonder where teh school got their information from then.

Where do you go to school?

Ivy Tech...but I just want to say that I wasn't putting your school down, I just happened to notice it and remembered the title of this thread when I saw the school's name.

No I wasn't implying that I just wanted to know like if you had gone there or were thinking about it or heard anything. That's all. I hope that last year was just a fluke or I'm part of the percentage that passes on the first time.

I hope you all do wonderfully and knock up those statistics to 100%...I was worried that someone would tell me to mind my own business, but if it were me just jumpin in, I'd wanna know so I could find out what was up. :p

They have multiple options, a 4 yr, 3yr and an accelerate 2yr program. I'm doing the 2 yr program because I already have a bachelors.

How are you doing with St. E? I'm also looking to start the 2 yr program in the fall. (Aug09)..I know it's several months away, but most of the nurses I know did Ivy Tech and I'm just wondering how St E is. I've got a Bachelor's so St. E makes more sense for me to get a BSN. I've read they don't always have summer classes, have you heard this? I'm really looking forward to the fall and I'm hoping it does take just the 23 months to get through the accelerated program. Thanks for any info or tips you can give me. :)

What do you want to know? It's def. alot of reading and work. But you do start clinicals right away I have been passing meds for the past few weeks including injections.

There is a description of the Accelerated program online...classes and credit hours. Do you pretty much just follow that? I have heard sometimes they don't have spring/summer classes....have you heard this? I guess it is kind of early to know.

That is very cool that you start clinicals right away! Do you like it so far?

I'm really looking forward to starting in August!

thanks!
