St. David's/ HCA nurses- Is Meditech on the way out?

Published

I heard from a RN at a St. David's facility that they are changing charting systems. Is there any truth to this??

I seriously doubt it.

Probably not, I heard HCA has a stake in Meditech.

We got word of a huge new update to Meditech a year or so ago that was supposed to bring it closer to Epic. The update came and... if you looked reeaaaaally hard, there were a few screens that had changed slightly. If that's HCA's idea of an upgrade, I highly doubt they're going to switch to a much more expensive charting program, as all of the others are.
