I know a lot of nurses there. I was so desperate looking for an employer before and not even one recommended me to apply there. At first, I thought they don't want me there, later I found out that my RN friends don't want to let me experience what they are going through that hospital.

if you don't mind me asking, what/where did you end up going/doing?

That doesn't surprize me with the peds transfers we get from there.

Scary place from what I have seen

Called every hospital that is listed in my aunt's magazine but eventually ended up in a hospital recommended by a relative.

I also remember one friend going off from work always crying coz she's scared of the passengers in the train. Co-workers are nice but the patients are not.

Specializes in ICU.

St Bernards is in the Englewood neighborhood on the southside. Not a very good neighborhood.

first of all, thanks for sharing! the only reason why im considering this hospital is because they will be able to sponsor me for an H-1C visa, since i am not a citizen or green card holder. i am currently under a student visa right now. im in a dilemma trying to figure out what to do..:o i noticed your country is philippines, did you go through any type of sponsorship?

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I'm via consular processing right now. Waiting here in PI.

Hi precy...i've been hearing about st bernard hospital and i know some who are being sponsored for an h1c visa...I for one am considering it also since there is no clear picture as to when retro will be lifted...though i have not signed any contract with them yet....could you be a little more specific about what you meant when you said your friends don't want to let you exerience what they are going through? Your reply will be very much appreciated.

Thank you.
