  1. To the second coursers who applied with CNO, did you also submit the Verification of Course Completion and Transcript Request to the school or university where you had your first degree? If yes, at what stage of the application did you submit this? I was just thinking this may have a positive impact in the assessment for equivalency if CNO would know that we had previous degree prior to BS Nursing in order to compensate for the lacking years in our primary and secondary years. Please share your insights and experiences on this. Thank you.
  2. Hi! For those Filipino nurses who are second coursers and have lodged their application as RN in CNO, did you submit Verification of Course Completion and Transcript Request Form to the school/university where you had your first degree (not related to nursing) and requested them to forward it to CNO? If yes, at what stage in the application did you do this? Because as far as I can remember there was nothing in the initial application forms sent by CNO that asked for the degrees that one has taken other than one's nursing education. I was just wondering because this may have an impact in assessing the equivalency of our nursing education if we could prove to them that we had sufficient number years of study to compensate for the lacking years we had in our primary and secondary years prior to our nursing degree. But how would CNO take this into consideration if they do not know about it and are not asking for it? Did you take the initiative sending them the transcripts instead? Could anyone share their insights and/or experiences on this? Thank you.
  3. I submitted my initial application last August, then I received their response with the BET last December dated November. I faxed the option form only last week and I opted to submit the BET and other additional docs. I actually exceeded the 40 days deadline they are giving for the submission of the option form so I called them up to confirm that I am not withdrawing my application. But until now I haven't started my BET yet. Would you know if they have deadline for the submission of BET?
  4. Congratulations gailtan! I think your having a masteral in nursing has a lot to do with being granted an eligibility. Good luck!

Hi! Any updates from those who had applied in Manitoba? What are the chances of Filipino nurses being advised to undergo CCA? Anyone? Hoping you could share your experiences and insights since there are not so many threads you could read about application with CRNM. Thank you.

Hi chengzz 1110! I am also planning to apply in Manitoba since I already got hold my PR visa last month. Is the SEC assessment new to them? Based from what I've read before they are one of the most lenient in giving eligibility to take the CRNE, though am not sure if there are changes now. Have you heard of a Filipino applicant who was told to take the "CCA"? I am just curious. Are you with Medicall? I am also considering applying there since I am Illinois licensed. I was Oct 2006 graduate but was licensed locally only last February 2010. My concern now is will I be given an eligibility even if I have zero nursing experience. I hope that people who have applied in Manitoba can share their experiences. Thank you.
  7. Hi AVHIECASIS! Would you know if AdverseEffect had received any feedback from CNO yet from the time she submitted her BET? Just like her I also do not have any work experience that's why I am interested to know. Any updates would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
  8. Hi Sheila! Just like cybercyke I would like to know what reason you gave California BON as to why you do not have a local license from your home country. Your reply would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
  9. To avhiecasis and race05: Could you give me an idea what BET is all about? One month have already lapsed since I submitted my CNO application but to date I have not received any response or email from them. Is this normal? I am also from the Philippines and a FSW applicant who is now waiting for my Visa stamp. I hope you can enlighten me on this. Thank you.
  10. Hi AdverseEffect, I am also a recently licensed nurse in the Philippines. I just sent my application to CNO this week and just like you I do not have nursing experience yet. Now based from your own experience how long did you hear from them from the time you submitted your initial application? Did you indicate in your application that you do not have any nursing experience since you graduated? The way I understand this is you were given the BET kit even if you did not have any nursing experience, am I right?
  11. Hi Joagy! I am very much interested in applying at OSMAK. Would you be kind enough to give us their list of requirements? And is it true that they are on freeze hiring until after election? Thank you.

Try Paperworx you can call them. They can assist you in credit card payments and NCLEX registrations.
  13. If ever what state? I was just wondering if it is possible for those who failed the local exam to take the NCLEX if they do not have plans anymore of retaking the former. Am just curious...
