Hello Everyone!! I didn't see a thread on this yet so I thought I would start one. I applied yesterday for the UCF Basic BSN that starts in the Fall, but since the window for the concurrent program opens prior to acceptance letters going out, I will also be applying to the concurrent program! Here are my stats...
AA - Completed with Honors (MCL)
Overall GPA: 3.65
Prereq GPA: 4.0
TEAS Score: 85.3
Anyone else finishing up their prereq's or just waiting for the window to open?
Only a couple more weeks until the app window opens. I scheduled an advising appointment with Luisa for April 8th and will hand my application in at that time. The more I read and research, the more I believe that this program is the one for me. I am a loan only student and really need to make sure that I won't leave my family strapped financially. UCF is SO much more expensive! I guess I didn't realize it until I sat down and did the math myself! I really hate SSC's financial aid department though
Hey everyone!
I applied last semester while still enrolled in two pre-requisites. I received a rejection letter and was told my application was unable to be reviewed because they hadn't received my CLEP scores in time.
This time around, I am finished with all my classes and all official transcripts are in.
I am only applying to the ASN program as it is the best option for me (less expensive and I HAVE to work almost full-time while in school so the faster pace of the BSN concurrent program won't work for me at this time).
Pre-req GPA: 3.04
TEAS: 93%
I thought that they looked at your pre-req GPA first and grouped you into categories, and then looked at the TEAS. But when I met with our adviser last week she informed me that they look at TEAS first. I am so hopeful I will get in this round!
I haven't been in school since December (since I'm just playing the waiting game now to be accepted). It's such a weird feeling! I always feel like I should have something to do besides work but don't. I feel restless. I am anxiously awaiting next week to turn in my application and then find out!!!!:)
Good luck to everyone!!!
I had three prereq's in progress the first time I applied and was denied as well. LOL!!! Everything happens for a reason though, I believe! Up until yesterday I was still thinking about about applying but I am 100% committed to my seat at UCF and will not even be handing in an application. You have an amazing TEAS Score! I got an 85.3 on my first attempt and never looked back :) I have also been out of school since I graduated from SSC with my AA in December but I am not employed so I am going crazy too! Good luck with your applications everyone! I can't wait to read all of the "I got my acceptance" posts in a couple months! The feeling of receiving that acceptance letter is one I will never forget!

Thank you! I have been doing the same study plan as you just mentioned so hopefully I will do well. Also do you know what all needs to be turned in with the application when the window opens?
