hi! im a nurse in the Philippines and recently i passed the IELTS exam. i am now preparing to apply for the SRNA for Saskatchewan. but i am in doubt if i qualified for the 1125 working experience that they require. i have a 10 months experience in a tertiary hospital in the Philippines. the 4 months was a nurse training and the 6 months where i got completely absorb by the hospital. if i will get the total number of hours for the 10 months that will be 1840 hours but if i dont include the nurse training it will be just 1100 hours. i will be so glad if someone will clarify to me if the SRNA will include nurse training as a work experience. thank you so much!!!!

I notice that there is a contact email address on this page of the SRNA site. If you send her a message, she can probably respond to your individual situation.

Generally speaking training hours don't count toward the 1125 hours required to maintain your license unless you were being oriented to a new workplace. Work experience is WORK experience and you really aren't getting that if you're still being educated. As EricEnfermero suggested, you should contact SRNA and have their opinion.
