SPSCC Fall '15

U.S.A. Washington

I received my acceptance yesterday! I'll be honest though and was not expecting to get into this program since it's a lottery now and I did not take any of my courses there. I'm still waiting to hear back from Centralia College (where I took my pre-req's) and TCC.

I know there was a lot of stuff going on with SPSCC over the past few years, but I'm curious if anyone on these boards is currently in their program since they have restarted it? I think I still have a very good shot at getting into Centralia College as well and will be deciding between the two programs.

Specializes in ICU, Pre-Op, OR, PACU.

Same thing for Centralia College as well though. They only have state, not national so again, same boat! lol I'll try to decide by the beginning of next week so I can move forward and quit thinking about this so much!

That would be a tough decision! I think I would base mine on where you live (do you want to drive every day, etc) and are you more comfortable where you have taken your pre-req's or do you want a new environment. That kind of thing. Like I said I've heard mixed reviews from people I know that are at SPSCC but have heard really good things about Centralia. Everyone always has different opinions though ;) Do you know anyone in either program currently that you could talk to?

grats!!!!! I know most of the people I took pre-req's with @ Centralia got in as well! You two can feel free to make a new thread for Centralia College! :) I'm afraid to before I make a decision for sure!

I happen to live a tad farther from Centralia mileage wise, but with SPSCC I'd have to drive across Lacey/Olympia to get there so it evens out as far as time goes. I've been trying to find people in the programs, but haven't been able to find anyone yet! Now that I know so many people that were accepted into the Centralia program I'm starting to lean in that direction again. Waiting to hear back from to see what their opinion is since I plan on transferring to them after I finish the ADN at either school.

So may I ask if they don't do the Stafford loans what do they do? I'm a single mother of 4 boys and need help.

I'm really not sure Tonim228, I would try to contact the Financial Aid office and ask them! Everyone at the school is usually very nice and eager to help.

okay just an FYI to anyone else breezing through this thread, according to they will accept credits from both schools to contribute towards their RN-BSN program.

This morning I plan on contacting Centralia College to see if they will work with me since I am unable to show up for the orientation on the date specified. If they will work with me then I will choose to go to Centralia College! It feels good to finally have a decision made, however if they aren't able to work with me I guess SPSCC it is.

Centralia College it is, starting a new thread so we don't confuse people too much when they look at this hah.

FYI Lisa, 3 of the people I know of were also accepted into SPSCC, so that's 3 spots opening up already! We're most likely not the only ones who have decided upon another school so hang in there!

I want to get into spscc it's so much closer to my house. I live 1.5 hours away from centralia and I have work study and everything lined up there. I'm 20 on wait list though, so hopefully I can get in, but if not I'll be at centralia!
