Hey ya'll!
I am an applicant who applied to UT Health Science center for the Fall of 2017. I found the allnurses forum so useful for all of the students that were currently going through the same process was.
I wanted to start another forum for the next year for all the applicants so they were able to share ideas, stats, background etc.
So i'll start:
HESI A2:
A&P 80
Math 98
Grammar 94
Reading 92
Vocab 96
I have a previous degree from Texas State University in Psychology (Bachelors).
Science GPA: 3.812
Nursing Pre-req: 3.512
Cumulative (155hrs): 3.2
I hope this helps and you get as much out of this as I did. I met some really awesome people on here who are all on the journey to becoming great nurses. Don't hesitate to say hi!
Hello !
I am new to all nurses and wondering if anyone can answer a question that I haven't been able to find out
I am applying for the Summer 2018 at UT Health. I am in my 3rd semester of prereq taking Govt 1, Micro, Lifespan, and Nutrition. Next semester (Spring 2018) I just have to take chem, stats, and sociology.
Was it too early to apply for the Summer 2018 program or do i have to apply for the Fall 2018 instead. I know on the website says you need 40 of the 60 hours before you apply (which I did, I had 47). But also I know you need to send a final transcript in, but I won't be able to send that in until after I finish my next semester and I am not to sure if that will be to late.
If anyone knows please help me out !

Send in whichever transcript you can by the deadline and they'llbase admission off of that, then when you're admitted they'll want your final transcript with all 60 credits. You're on the right track, don't worry!
Hi! I hope you get accepted in UT Health Science. I just started applying to UTMB. I am a nurse here but I studied my BSN abroad so I have a different situation. I am working on sending my transcript to their credentialing service and hoping to get a GPA of 3.0 or higher. I'm stressed out because I initially applied to UT-Arlington, where they found that I only have a GPA of 2.8 which is inside their probationary admission plus a GRE passing score. I pulled out my application there. I am hoping to get a different and better GPA in UTMB since credentialing is not binding to any institution, so UTMB's credentialing service might give me better GPA. Hopefully.

I just went to an information session and the school coordinator said there were 1218 people who applied for the Spring 2018 cohort.
