Spring 2021 University of North Carolina - Charlotte (UNCC)

Hey everyone!

My name is Zac, and I am a Neurosurgical ICU nurse currently working in Charlotte, NC. I was born and raised here but attended Western Carolina University for my BSN degree. I noticed there hasn't been a thread yet created for UNCC's SRNA program applicants for next Spring; so, I wanted to introduce myself to all of you other candidates out there and want to wish all of you the best of luck in attaining interviews and acceptance letters. Introduce yourselves below and let's get to know each other before we [hopefully] begin on this incredibly arduous yet rewarding journey together ?

I for sure am planning to. The first thought that comes to mind is that they didn't receive my application; however, I received not only an email stating they did receive it, but also a phone call confirming they received it. I guess they forgot to send mine, or are in the the process of making a last minute decision?

Thank you, that is very kind ? This was actually my first time applying for any CRNA school; and seeing as how I am from Charlotte, I just wanted to throw in one application here to see what might happen before I send out apps everywhere else. How about you?

This is my first time as well. I only applied here and USC, just to see how it would go.

Nice! If it doesn't go well for me this time, I will very likely be applying to USC as well. Do you currently work in Charlotte, or a surrounding area?

A similar situation happened in January. They said we would know by a certain date and we weren't actually informed until 1-2 weeks later.

I just wanted to update everyone on my current situation, if anyone is still curious. I emailed Yvonne yesterday morning after work. I was very respectful and exuded nothing but patience and pure curiosity. I did not receive any response over the last 24 hours. So, I decided the next step was to call to follow up. The phone rang a few times and hung up on me before I could leave a voicemail. I have no idea what to think, but I am stuck in a surreal type of limbo or something ?

Wow... I'm sorry to hear that. She normally responds to emails fairly quickly. Not saying that you should do this, but if it were me, I would email her again especially knowing that others have received decisions  by the stated deadline.

She emailed me on Monday morning, after I emailed her on Friday evening.

I'm dealing with the same thing from Wake Forest. Other people heard back 10/01, and I still haven't heard anything :( Can't get a phone call returned, so I think I'm going to email them today after work.
