Starting thread for TCC nursing students submitting application in a few weeks for the Spring 2017 semester ADN program. Personally, I have followed and watched and reviewed entrances over the year and it changes upon fall and spring semesters and the amount of applicants. I will be applying with two A's in A&P and Micro and a B in A&P2, so my GPA is a 3.6.... My first HESI score is a 87.5. I have seen acceptance with this, and have contemplated retaking HESI just to see if I do any different.
Comment and ask any questions and I hope to see you all in Spring!
Hi, I just got an email yesterday saying that I was selected as an Alrernate for the spring 2017 semester and I was just wondering what are my chances of getting accepted. I scored a 90 on the HESI. And have an A and a B in AP but a C, in Micro. A co worker of mine that graduated from TCC, says there's a good chance I could still getting in but it varies.

I don't know of any "formula" that will predict your chances. Some one will have personal, family or medical issues come up and not be able to attend this next semester. Every time that happens, an alternate will be called. Whether or not you're called depends on how many people decline their TCC acceptance and where you are on the list of alternates. Good luck!!
I just found this page and I know that I am way late. I was accepted and my daughter is an alternate for the Spring 2017. I am planning on L&D but later getting my MSN and then NP in Women's health. Looking forward to meeting everyone. - My husband told all my kids they are getting their BSN first and then after that they can do whatever they want. So with 6 kids, I had to set the example.
The FB page for those accepted has changed the name more specific to our semester. It is TCC Nursing Spring 2017 Class. The link is provided. Thank you!
So I just applied to the program for the 2017 Spring start and i'm getting really nervous to receive the letter within the next couple of weeks. I didn't score GREAT on the hesi, however; I didn't do horrible--84% if you will. I have a 3.4 GPA. What do you all think? Do i have a chance? How did everyone else do? Thanks!!
