Since the application due date is only a little over two months away, I figured I'd start a chat for applicants applying to Suffolk County Community College Spring 2021 nursing program! Just curious what other peoples stats / TEAS / rubric scores are! Good luck in advance to everyone applying!
Hi all,
My rubric score was 69 I believe? And I still landed in LPN-RN Advanced Placement because I have 90% of the coreqs done.
My advice for the TEAS (and nursing school in general!) is only to study what you don’t know. I needed a lot of help with Chemistry and specifically fractions in math so that’s what I studied.
Hope this helps!
I was also accepted to the Ammerman campus RN program. The schedule that was posted was for LPN-RN program, so maybe it will be different for us? I’m hoping so because as much as I’m nervous for clinical, I don’t think I would learn as much from online clinicals. When I was at the admissions office to pay my deposit they said we should be receiving info about the orientation “soon”

Thanks! Still frantically checking my email everyday LOL
Sorry I should have specified, I am in the LPN-RN ammerman Spring 2021 start.. That why I was curious after I saw the post about the information from the Grant campus.
I hope they will reach out to the ammerman students soon!!
Also I still have some general classes to take. My registration date for them is 11/16. How am I going to choose when I don't even know what my schedule will be ....ugh...
I wanted to take Micro next semester.
Just a little update. So the nursing department sent me the orientation info in the email today and the heading says "LPN-RN EVENING STUDENTS". I didn't expect to be placed in the evening program. When I applied it didn't specify anything about day or evening so I figured the LPN-RN was only offered in days. I'm guessing it's just Ammerman or they have expanded the program considering there's a lot of LPNs that applied. What do you guys think?

I’m in the evening RN program. The email was titled LPN-RN and evening students (meaning the evening RN program). I don’t know anything about the LPN-RN program whether it’s days or evenings but I believe the evening part was referring to RN students.
When I first read the email I thought I was put in the wrong program until I reread it and saw “and evening students”.
I read the heading wrong, forgot there was an "and" LOL. Awesome! Thank you guys!
I emailed Audrey and she said LPNs have to wait for a little bit to do the background check until we hear back from our Academic Chair. I was gonna do it today to get it out of the way.
Looking at the curriculum, I see there are only 4 nursing classes for the whole LPN-RN program. ?

Hey!
If you don’t mind me asking, how much did you you study for the TEAS and for how long and how did you feel about the test overall?
