I got waitlisted in the 20s so I'm gonna prepare to reapply for the summer. Definitely I need to work on my resume and essay responses. @TheBolivian I think you will get it, I heard they let the top people get a spot in the next cohort but idk if that is true. Good Luck!

Be sure you make an appointment to meet with the counselor. I followed every piece of advice and am so grateful for the insight.

@MamaKat916 Thanks so much for being so supportive! May I ask what your 3 application cycle laid outs entail? I would like to improve on more than just my resume and essay questions so wondering if you can shed some light.

@mamakat916 and @T.TNurse thank you for the advice! Keeping my fingers crossed and wondering how long I'll have to wait until I hear back

Hi guys! I’ve been following this group for a while, but never commented! I was admitted to the Sacramento ABSN cohort today! So excited to meet you all. Thought I’d start a Facebook group since there seems to be some interest in that!

Samuel Merritt ABSN - Sacramento Spring 2020

If you guys search the exact title that she posted, it’s WAY down the list. Maybe third from the bottom? Kasial, thank you for making this!!

Yes, I’d be happy to!! I’m running my daughter to soccer practice and I’ll post about my experience when I get back. Also, if you’d like to read my two different statements, it might help to see the difference between the two. I had a very supportive co-applicant who got in her first time and she shared hers with me and it made all the difference! I promise I’ll give the details. ?

Hi guys, just sending the link to the Facebook group for the Sacramento ABSN 2020 Cohort again. Hopefully it works perfectly this time since I'm on an actual computer and not just my cell phone! You do have to be logged in to facebook when you click on the link for it to work.

You should also be able to find it by searching for "Samuel Merritt ABSN - Sacramento Spring 2020" on Facebook

@amani39 You have to call and make the appointment over the phone. Usually the fastest way is to call.

"We anticipate movement on the waitlist over the next several weeks up until one week before the start of the cohort. We will offer periodic updates as the process continues and if space becomes available, we will let you know immediately."

So does that mean we will continuously receive emails from the school as the wait-list moves? Someone earlier said there were no updates in the past so you gotta to call the school to find out ?

I received updates the first time I applied, but did not receive them for the second application. So not sure if they have changed the process?

I’ll share my essay answers and resume info also if anyone wants it. I had an ELMSN alumni review it and make suggestions. Was very helpful. This was my first application cycle.
