Spring 2018 Prairie View

Hello everyone. Is anyone applying at Prairie View medical center in Houston ? For spring 2018?

I have still not heard anything from PV or UTHealth. I don't expect to hear anything from PV this week, maybe until next week since they said we will receive letters by mid-November and they are still reviewing applications. The wait is dreadful and I just hope we all hear back from them soon!

I also applied to UTHealth and haven't heard anything from them either. Obviously if I had I wouldn't be worried about hearing from Prairie View as UTHealth is my first choice. Hoping we hear something from both schools soon. Good luck to all:)

I don't really have a first choice, just hoping I get accepted somewhere! I have heard a lot of people not wanting to even consider PVAMU, but I personally feel that every nursing school will have it's pros and cons so might as well apply to them and see where things go!

Yes! Many people won't apply to Prairie View because they say it's not one of the top schools to attend. If I get accepted I will go there, it's no problem with me:) I have friends who graduated from there and have wonderful jobs & love the professors. My past professors have told me people want to go there because of the name, however in the end it doesn't matter. As long as you know the material and are dedicated, the school you attended doesn't matter as much as some people think ... I'm just praying I get accepted somewhere, I'm just ready to start my career!

Does anyone know if it's a positive sign to get a call from PVAMU asking you to verify your information (weeks after the deadline has passed)???

I just received a call from Dr. Smith at Prairie View. I'm at work so I was unable to answer, omg I'm freaking out! Praying it's good news:)
