My journey started from cna, lpn now,I applied for spring 2018 nursing bridge program. I am looking forward to what it has to offer and the challenges ahead. Anything is possible if you work hard and be persistence in reaching every goal you set for yourself. Always keep a positive mind.
Process two hasn't even started so i would just need to repeat process one hopefully they accept pharmacology since that can be taken separate even at another school and it's not necessarily part of the program. Did you actually transfer from Broward college if so do you feel MDC is better I'm sure it's still tough but Broward is really severe i mean I'm surviving barely but i need part time
I just realized you said you spoke with an advisor for your friend so you didn't actually transfer? Your still at Broward college ?
I am currently at Broward college in process two but Broward is a mess and i want to go to MDC especially because they offer part time how is it compared to Broward college how was the transition could i get your email to ask a few things
hi,when you spoke to an advisor did they want you to send a letter of good standing from BC?
I only see something about F D or W grades.
Program Admission Requirements
A total of 72 credits is required for an Associate of Science in Nursing degree. Forty-two of those must consist of credits in the nursing curriculum.
The only course which may be taken concurrently with the nursing program is: CGS1060. Students, who have completed the CSP Exam and passed, will have this requirement waived. This requirement is also waived for students with an AA degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution recognized by MDC.
NOTE: Given the rigor of the Nursing program, it is advisable that students complete this course prior to their first semester in the School of Nursing.
All nursing options are competitive admission
Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required
Passing HESI - A2 Exam with scores as follows:
Composite score = 65 or higher
No more than 3 total grades of D, F, or W in natural science courses required for admission
No more than 1 enrollment with a grade of D, F, or W in any individual natural science course required for admission
BSC2085/L and BSC2086/L courses must be completed within the past 10 years
All admission requirements, including coursework and exam must be completed prior to application
Note: The Accelerated and Transitional/Bridge options have additional requirements. Visit the respective program option websites for additional information.
