My journey started from cna, lpn now,I applied for spring 2018 nursing bridge program. I am looking forward to what it has to offer and the challenges ahead. Anything is possible if you work hard and be persistence in reaching every goal you set for yourself. Always keep a positive mind.
Overview of AO nursing schedule from a former student:
"The first semester is 21 credits. This was split into 2 mini semesters basically.
The first half is when you take Fundamentals Of Nursing (Lecture MF). Fundamental clinicals (7-3). Fundamental skills lab (TWR) . Assessment lab (Fridays)
and Intro to Pharm (Math)
Intro to Pharm and Skills lab was about a month and a half. We were going to class every day. After those classes ended, we had 1 day off (I believe Thursday).
Friday was the longest day because Assessment was from 2-5ish?
The next half was Med Surg. MS clinical. and Pharm. These classes were 3 months long.
2nd semester: Peds, OB (both 1 month long). These were in the afternoon.
3rd semester: Psych. Advanced Med Surg and Leadership.
Basically the first semester, you're taking multiple classes. Once you get to the 2nd and 3rd, you'll be able to focus on 1 subject... so in that sense things get somewhat easier on you."
