Spring 2019 Lone Star Hopefuls

Published

I've decided to make this page for anyone applying for the Spring 2019 ADN program at Lone Star CF/K. I'm so nervous and it's still kinda far away! Good luck!

this wait is something else......

I am extremely nervous and I have a 7.71.

I think I just have PTSD from being denied to BSN programs 5 different times for no reason at all. 3.84 GPA, 96% HESI. This is my first time applying to an ADN program, but I still cannot help but feel nervous!

That's insane you were denied with those stats, they're so great! I've heard UT Health can be like that in their decision process, it does't seem to be a cut & dry point system the way other programs work. I have a feeling you'll be celebrating your acceptance once they finally come out! lol. I definitely understand still feeling nervous though.

Oh man 5 times! I'm also waiting to hear from two BSN programs

Does anyone know... If your second choice sends you an acceptance letter first, but you want to wait to see if your first choice accepts you.. How long do you have? I did see that it said if you turn your second choice down and your first choice doesn't send you an offer you are just out of luck. That was a mouth full but I was just wondering.

I know someone in the program already and I asked. They go in order of your choice school and you will only receive one acceptance letter. For example, my friends first choice was T, her second choice NH, third choice CF...she ended up getting acceptance into her second choice and only received a letter from NH. And you have one week to accept I believe.

So basically if your first choice doesn't want you they send your stuff over to your second choice and so on.

Great to know. thanks so much

How long did it take for the letters to send out?

From what I've seen it's been like 11-14 days from the close of the application. So hopefully we'll know early next week!!

My cousin got her letter 11 days after the close of the application period for this fall.

I sure hope our decisions fall along this timeline, I am so ready for some *hopefully* good news!
